The treasurer is vital to the financial health and sustainability of the Superhero Center for Autism. The Treasurer plays a key role in ensuring financial transparency, supporting fundraising efforts and helping the organization continue its mission of empowering children with autism and their families.

Successful applicants must have experience with financial management, bookkeeping or accounting. Experience with, or knowledge of, autism is a very strong plus.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collect and manage all funds related to the Superhero Center for Autism.
• Pay authorized bills and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and present a monthly financial report – submitted 24 hours in advance of board meetings.
• Serve as the holder of the organization’s credit card and checkbook.
• Process reimbursements to board members as needed.
• Collect, organize and submit required financial paperwork to the accountant for yearly tax filings.
• Serve as an Officer of the Board of Directors.
• Attend monthly board meetings.
• Participate in at least two major fundraising events per year.
• Provide recommendations on financial matters, policies and business decisions to the Board of Directors.
• Perform additional duties as prescribed by the President.
